My science work

This is a homemade photo voltaic solar cell. We made it from a cd case, sponge, copper sulphate,
copper wire, twink, iodine and food colouring. We generated 21 mv with this cell.

Solar energy is important because: it doesn't make pollution
and its for free

  1. Kia ora Arahia,
Great to read about your solar cell. The photo really helps me to get a better idea of what it is. What are you using these cells for?

  2. Brilliant! You made free electricity out of thin air! Fantastic -- this is the future of energy, and you're going to be part of it.

  3. Well done. It is great to see you using sustainable science concepts. Maybe discuss how you made it next time with a procedure.

I think your solar cell is very interesting because you used recycling ( an old CD) to make the solar cell. I am a big believer in solar power and think that the best sustainable way of generating power. Have you thought of a way of increasing the amount of power generated?
